If you are gluten free (and grain free), you’ve probably heard of Cappello’s grain free pastas, cookie doughs and pizza crusts by now. And if you are anything like me, you may be slightly obsessed with their products. Granted, Cappello’s products are a bit on the pricey side, but boy are they worth the occasional splurge.
I have been meaning to try Cappello’s Grain Free Butternut Squash Ravioli for a while now. As luck would have it, Cappello’s products were on sale a few weeks ago at Whole Foods. It was the perfect time to add the butternut squash ravioli to my cart. And I am so glad that I did. Here’s why I think you should try them as well:
1. They taste delicious!
First and foremost, I think you will be blown away by the taste of this delectable ravioli product. They are hands down the best tasting gluten free raviolis that I have ever tasted. To support that statement, I have already purchased this product twice since my initial purchase. I would venture to say that the taste of Cappello’s ravioli rivals dishes I’ve had at some of the finest Italian restaurants I’ve frequented (before I went gluten free).
2. They are the perfect combination of sweet and savory.
The butternut squash filling is beautifully seasoned with spices, garlic, onion, salt, etc., which leads to an explosion of sweet and savory flavors in your mouth. Add some seasoned olive oil, tomato sauce or pesto, to even elevate the taste experience some more.
3. They are dairy free!
It’s getting much easier to find gluten free ravioli products in supermarkets and specialty stores. It’s not been as easy to find ravioli products that are both gluten free and dairy free – until now. Cappello’s Grain Free Butternut Squash Ravioli allows those following both gluten free and dairy free diets the opportunity to enjoy ravioli again.
(Just a side note: if you prefer ravioli with cheese, Cappello’s also makes two gluten free ravioli with cheese products: Five Cheese Ravioli and Spinach & Cheese Ravioli)
4. They are made with the cleanest ingredients.

Cappello’s Grain Free Butternut Squash Ravioli is made with impressive, clean and simple ingredients. With this product, you won’t find artificial or inflammatory ingredients that are typically in traditional ravioli products in the market.
5. They are certified Paleo!
Since the ravioli is made with egg, almond flour and tapioca flour without any grains, Cappello’s Grain Free Butternut Squash Ravioli can be enjoyed by anyone following a Paleo diet/lifestyle. This product is also certified non-GMO.
6. They last a long time in your freezer.
Unlike fresh/refrigerated ravioli products, you don’t have to eat these ravioli right away. Cappello’s Butternut Squash Ravioli, like Cappello’s other products, is found in the freezer section of grocery stores. You can simply store it in your freezer until you are ready to eat the ravioli.
7. They are ready in minutes.
A delicious meal will be ready in exactly seven minutes and thirty seconds. All you need to do is boil 3 quarts of water, add the ravioli and wait the instructed cooking time. Have your desired sauces and seasonings ready to go, and enjoy!

[…] The easy recipe below uses Cappello’s Naked Pizza Crust – a frozen grain free, gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, certified paleo, soy free and non-GMO ready-to-use pizza crust. The crust is made with an almond, arrowroot and cassava flour base. It also includes a few other clean ingredients such as cage-free eggs, organic coconut milk, coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, psyllium husk, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and honey. It’s not only the cleanest gluten free crust that I could find, but also the tastiest. This crust retails for $6.99 at my Whole Foods. (Cappello’s also makes the best tasting gluten free fettucine.
